Something for the weekend 47 - Robin Crutchfield

The Ice Melts

"In 2006, after having purchased a number of harps and psalteries, and having happened upon the spiritually profound "magical scale", Robin retreated from the cyclic electronic keyboard influences of the 20th century, to embrace acoustic material more in keeping with the ancient musics, and released two solo albums, "SongsForFaerieFolk", and "ToadstoolSoup". These feature daydreamlike improvisations on harp, tanpura, lyre, box drum and pixiefone based on some of the thematic elements suggested by faerie lore and the distant past."

And, yes, that IS a real tiny harp. And, yes, he IS wearing a garland around his noggin. More from the former no-waver, now bard to the dark faeries at Robin Crutchfield
